Dr. Maia Jamadi

Maia Jamadi, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist in California (PSY30105) and New York (019069).  She earned her BA in psychology and philosophy from New York University and her PhD from Long Island University-Brooklyn.  She trained in various mental health clinics and hospitals throughout the boroughs of New York City, working with diverse populations across age ranges, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in both clinical treatment and research capacities.  She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health in New York, NY where she worked as a primary clinician providing individual, group, and family therapy and conducting neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.  Dr. Jamadi subsequently worked in foster care for several years providing both therapy and assessment services primarily for children, but also for biological and foster parents as needed.  She maintained a private practice in New York City for eight years doing individual therapy and psychological evaluations before moving to Southern California in 2017.

Since moving to California, Dr. Jamadi has maintained a bicoastal individual therapy private practice.  She is also currently a clinical supervisor and the Director of the Doctoral Training in Maple Counseling’s Adult Individual Psychotherapy Program in Beverly Hills, CA.  She is passionate about her work, dedicated to increasing awareness around the importance of diversity and culture, and is motivated by learning about and understanding each individual’s unique story.
