Educational Therapist: Position Overview
Wonder Tree Developmental Psychology is seeking a compassionate, skilled Educational Therapist to provide individualized, evidence‑based intervention for children and adolescents with learning differences, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and executive functioning challenges. This role blends cognitive rehabilitation, academic strategy instruction, and emotional support to help learners strengthen foundational skills and thrive across school, home, and community environments.
The Educational Therapist works under licensed supervision and collaborates closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary providers to ensure consistent, holistic care.
Core Responsibilities
Deliver one‑on‑one educational therapy sessions using structured, evidence‑based approaches
Assess learning needs and identify executive functioning barriers (attention, working memory, cognitive flexibility, self‑monitoring)
Develop individualized intervention plans grounded in cognitive rehabilitation principles
Teach executive functioning strategies including time management, task initiation, planning, organization, and goal‑directed persistence
Provide metacognitive coaching to build self‑awareness and emotional regulation
Use therapeutic techniques such as modeling, prompting, scaffolding, and strategy instruction
Track progress through measurable goals and session documentation
Collaborate with caregivers and school teams to support generalization of skills
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics
Support learners emotionally around school stress, confidence, and motivation
Integrate compensatory tools such as visual schedules, graphic organizers, and environmental supports
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Educational Therapy, Special Education, Developmental Psychology, School Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
Experience working with children and adolescents with ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, or executive functioning challenges
Training or familiarity with:
Cognitive rehabilitation
Executive functioning coaching
Behavioral scaffolding
Reading/writing/math intervention
Social‑emotional learning supports
Ability to create a structured, calming, and supportive learning environment
Strong skills in rapport‑building, patience, and child‑centered communication

Teacher/Tutor for Neurodiverse Students & Outdoor Approach
Location: Vancouver, WA and surrounding areas
Position Type: Part-time/Contract
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable teacher/tutor who is experienced in working with neurodiverse students and aligns with the principles of unschooling/outdoor, project-based and self-directed learning. You will be working with very small groups of children, and/or one-on-one.
Role & Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, strength-based academic support to neurodiverse learners.
Foster a self-directed, curiosity-driven learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles of each student.
Collaborate with families to set meaningful educational goals.
Utilize creative, flexible, and engaging teaching strategies.
Offer executive functioning support as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience working with neurodiverse children (e.g., ADHD, autism, learning differences).
Familiarity with unschooling, self-directed education, or other alternative learning models.
Strong ability to individualize instruction and create a supportive learning environment.
Background in education, psychology, or a related field preferred.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible, part-time hours based on student needs. Two mornings a week from about 10am to 1pm and 2-3 afternoons a week.
