Jamie Hartnell
I graduated from University of Washington with my Masters in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology. I currently work with clients aged 3 to 21. I approach therapy with children, adolescents, and young adults by acknowledging the systems within which they exist, and embrace partnership with parents and families to bring about meaningful change for the whole family unit. I specialize in individual treatment, offering adjunctive family and caregiver sessions as needed to supplement one-on-one work. I integrate DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) BA (Behavioral Activation), mindfulness, and play-based and art-based modalities into the therapeutic space. I have specialized clinical experience working with trauma and PTSD, disruptive behaviors, depression, suicide ideation, self-harm, anxiety, and perfectionism. Healing happens in connection, which is why I focus on building a safe, collaborative relationship where clients feel truly seen. Utilizing a person-centered and strength-based lens, we will work together to go beyond symptom relief and work toward living authentically, maintaining hope, and growing in emotional resilience. Through an integrative and multimodal approach, you will be welcomed into the therapeutic space with unconditional positive regard, free of judgement. I provide therapy under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Taylor.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time on the Oregon coast, being around family and friends, camping, seeing new movies at the theater, practicing yoga, playing board games, and re-watching The Office.
