Josh
Josh graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Psychology and brings both heart and hands-on experience to his work with neurodivergent youth and young adults. Throughout his training, he served as a one-on-one support specialist for children, teens, and adults on the autism spectrum, a paraprofessional supporting teens in school-based settings, and a program leader for a job training initiative designed for neurodiverse young adults. These experiences shaped his strengths-based, relational approach and deep respect for individual learning differences.
At Wonder Tree Developmental Psychology, Josh serves as an Educational Specialist, supporting neurodivergent learners in building executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, and real-world independence through our Educational Therapy program. He works closely with students to develop systems that externalize organization, strengthen planning and task initiation, and reduce overwhelm, always through a neurodiversity-affirming lens. Josh especially enjoys integrating movement, experiential learning, and outdoor environments into his work, recognizing that many learners thrive when their bodies and nervous systems are engaged alongside their minds. Whether supporting organization for academic tasks, facilitating social problem-solving, or building confidence in community-based settings, Josh prioritizes psychological safety and authentic connection.
Josh is passionate about creating spaces where young people feel understood, capable, and empowered to grow into their fullest potential. He is deeply invested in each learner’s success and strives to make the learning process both approachable and meaningful. He plans to pursue graduate training to become a licensed therapist, continuing his work supporting teens and young adults in navigating emotional and developmental challenges.
Outside of Wonder Tree, Josh loves exploring the outdoors through hiking, climbing, and surfing. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and enjoys helping others experience the natural world safely and confidently. As he and his partner are new to the Pacific Northwest, they’re excited to discover hidden trails, coastal adventures, and of course — the best local coffee spots.
